VideoCardroom Help
We will have more help available in the future as our Beta testing progesses.

I don’t see my video.

  • Presumable you have a webcam installed.
  • Be sure the webcam is working with the viewer provided with the webcam. If not, follow the troubleshooting directions provided in the webcam’s instructions.
  • Webcams can typically only work with one application at a time. Be sure to close any other webcam applications.
  • If you previously had another webcam installed on your PC be sure the old driver and all related software is uninstalled. You can also adjust the Flash player to use the correct driver by right clicking on the VideoCardroom application and choosing “settings” from the menu, then choose  the “camera” tab and then choose the correct driver from the drop down list.
  • When prompted by the Flash player privacy popup, be sure to ALLOW the VideoCardroom application access to your camera.
  • Corporate or personal firewalls cannot block port 443.
    Test your Internet connection

Do I need a microphone?

No, we have text chat functionality. We currently do not intend to support voice for two reasons. First, is uses valuable bandwidth. Second, rude players maybe more inclined to use obscene language verbally then when typing and reading obscene text is less intrusive then listening to it.

Special Rules for VideoCardroom

  • Only one game per player. No multi-play is allowed.
  • No disconnect protection. If you become disconnected for any reason it is considered a fold and you quit the game.  This should not be an issue with broadband connection but you should be careful if you are using Wi-Fi. We plan to upgrade our software to allow a short period for reconnection in the near future.
  • Camera must always remain on with a clear view of the players face.
  • Limit of 8 players game.
  • No nudity.
  • No obscene  gestures.
  • No obscene chat.

What do the color back shadow mean?

  • Black/Grey - Players not in hand
  • Yellow - Players in hand waiting for their turn.
  • Red - Player the action is on.
  • Blue - Player(s) who won hand.
